Pre and Post-Offer Employment Testing

Our Pre and Post-Offer of Employment Testing Program assists employers in reducing the potential for injury on the job by improving the pre-hire screening process for new employment applicants. Customized for each employer and positions being tested, our program:

 

  • Identifies candidates and employees who are fit to perform the work
  • Ensures appropriate job match where workers are able to perform bona fide duties safely
  • Reduces the incident of workplace injuries and related claims costs
  • Outlines key exercises and education that can be provided to the employee enabling them to perform the job safely

Functional Abilities Assessments

Our Functional Abilities Evaluations (FAE) are standardized, objective, evidence-based assessments utilized to determine an employee's safe level of physical abilities and tolerances. This is achieved by reviewing history of the employee and conducting clinical testing such as range of motion, strength, and neurological function. Our comprehensive FAE program:

 

  • Collect information regarding the risks associated with jobs
  • Assess both workplace and personal factors affecting an employee's work
  • Recommend strategies that assist in reducing the potential for injury
  • Assist with the implementation of key strategies and provide follow-up or re-evaluation as needed

Safe Work Training and Education

Our experienced facilitators train and educate Managers and employees on safe work practices. Our workshops are experiential allowing for practice, assessment, and feedback. We offer a series of workshops including lunch and learns relating to:

 

  • Best practices in office ergonomics
  • Safe lifting techniques
  • Plant safety basics
  • Crouch, bend, and climb safely
  • Stress management
  • Fitting wellness into your workday

Ergonomic Assessments

Our team of experts conduct proactive ergonomic assessments in an effort to minimize absences from work, increase job satisfaction, enhance recovery, and reduce disability claims and costs. Our ergonomic specialists:

Physical Demands Analysis

Our Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) are used proactively to prevent injury and for rehabilitation and return to work purposes. Our consultants meet with you to discuss the role, conduct measurements of the employee's work, and report essential demands of the job. Custom-designed for each role our PDA's:

 

  • Provide information for hiring and training purposes
  • Assist in identification and prioritization of safety concerns
  • Identify the requirements of a job to WSIB, insurance providers, and health care providers
  • Provide data for use in job matching and accommodation of injured employees
  • Identify suitable alternate work or modified work
